Upcoming Event: Schmooze and Booze

If you're free this Thursday, there's a Schmooze and Booze networking event (oh, that makes it sound so boring) for young journalists.

From their site:

The first Schmooze and Booze was held on Wednesday, August 23rd at the Commercial Tavern in the East End. Forty or so young hacks, politicos, meeja types and assorted hangers-on drank, chatted and ate brightly coloured children's sweets...

The next Schmooze and Booze will be held upstairs at the Angelic pub on Liverpool Road from 7pm on Thursday, October 12.

Found this in one of the Gorkana alerts; they're worth a look if you haven't checked it out already. They have a new (I think) site with journalism job listings, too; registration is required, but it's well worth it.
