      Journalism Jobs - October 12

Holdthefrontpage has an advert for a staff writer on a technology magazine published by Future. HtfP also have a ton of regional jobs.

On TotalJobs, recruiters PFJ are looking for a a reporter with 18 months' experience for a financial publication (£26-30k).

If you speak Arabic, Ink Publishing has an opening as an editor for you.

IPC are looking for a junior designer.

Journalism.co.uk has a job via Recruit Media for a technical writer on a computer magazine (£18-20k). Web site Register Hardware -- about computers, again -- is looking for a reviews editor and a reporter.

RedBee media are looking for listings writers (19k). And mad.co.uk are looking for another senior reporter, with at least two years' experience.

On the Guardian web site, DNL recruitment are looking for an online production assistant (up to 24k).

On October 31, Penguin are holding a lunch-and-learn event for those wanting a career in book publishing.

Schmooze and Booze is tonight. If you've got nothing better to do, it could be interesting.

I've posted a new poll (look right). Based on the last highly scientific one -- "What type of job are you looking for" -- most of you want to be reporters (32%) followed by editorial assistants (30%). Interning, subbing and editing are in a near three-way tie for third, and poor layout/production is a lowly 3%.
