      Journalism Jobs - October 13

On the Guardian, a weekly business magazine needs a subeditor (21-23k) and an investigative reporter -- either a second jobber, or a first with some qualifications.

A publishing company is looking for a publishing assistant/office manager.

The Careers Group has a cool-sounding internship at politics.co.uk. They're looking for a trainee journalist to work alongside the site editor for four months (£220 weekly).

TotalJobs has a posting from recruiters PFJ for a reporter with 12 months' experience for a B2B/consumer publisher (19-20k).

On Holdthefrontpage, NewsQuest's south London newspapers have an opening for a trainee subeditor. They'll teach you design, layout, copy-subbing and headline-writing.

Gumtree has an advert from a non-profit's music magazine, looking for intern types (initially unpaid).

Career publishers Vault are looking for a writer/editor, via Craigslist.

Future Publishing are advertising week-long work experience placements at several magazines in Bath and What Laptop? in London.

Just as Monday is Guardian media job day, I think Friday might become Gorkana day... You need to register with them (it's free) to see their several dozen jobs, so I can't link directly. Some have been mentioned here, so don't double-apply. Today they have a ton of subbing jobs on consumer magazines, including a freelancer gig with Love it! -- whatever that is. Also of note, MStyle is looking for an editorial assistant and Reuters is looking for freelance reporters for shift work.

Just realized it's Friday the 13th... good luck, and have a nice weekend.
