      Journalism Jobs - October 30

HoldtheFrontPage has an advert from Woman magazine for a comissioning editor and one from Insurance Times for a news editor and a subeditor. The surprisingly really very good South London Press needs a senior reporter.

The BBC has advertised on The Careers Group for a relief producer with French and English for BBC Afrique (£15/hr) and a relief producer with Kinyarwanda/Kirundi for their Great Lakes service.

On the Guardian, the BBC is looking for a rights assistant and a broadcast journalist.

Still on that site -- as it's Monday there're more -- Hothouse Media need a publishing assistant. The Big Lottery Fund are looking for a web editor (£22-27k). The Week have advertisted for that editorial assistant -- and this time, I'll actually link it.

An amateur rowing association needs a publication officer for their magazine and website.

A new magazine/thing called Monocle is looking for a chief subeditor, researchers/writers with two languages (aside from English!) and editorial assistants, among others.

The Guardian itself needs a production assistant. Sky needs a radio journalist. BUPA needs an assistant health editor (£20-25k).

A few jobs for art editors and designers on journalism.co.uk today.

On Gumtree, Seven are again advertising for freelance writers (unpaid) and have announced they'll be giving up the interweb-only plan for the dead-tree method.

Craigslist has an advert from an international Jewish organization, who are interviewing freelancers today and tomorrow -- so email them now, if you're interested.

And, the unfortunately named Nuts4Chic.com needs writers/reporters. And no, it's not about transexuals. And, by the looks of it, they could use a web designer, too. And a subeditor. And, someone to tell them that women do not all love pink. /end rant

Can you fix the link to the Big Lottery Fund web editor position please? At the moment it goes to a b2b magazine position. Keep up the good work, incidentally!
