Journalism Jobs - October 20
On the Guardian, recruiters Inspired Selection are looking for a subeditor for health care journals. The horribly named Ovum have a job for a content editor (£22k). Work Station are looking for a production assistant (£17k).
On CWjobs, there's a posting for an online content editor.
The Careers Group has an advert from a TV production company for an intern. If you speak Zulu, you're needed for a documentary.
Via Press Gazette, PFJ has a job for a junior writer at a communications agency.
On JobsIn, there's a job for a web editor (£17-22k).
Craigslist has a good sounding freelance travel writing gig (75 euros/article). A DIY site is looking for writers. And the advert looking for freelance writers from yesterday, with the hard to discern subjects, has reposted with the subjects. If you know about archaeology, dog tricks, creative writing or UK law, this surely rather strange and diverse website will pay you £25 an article.
Jobsite has an advert for a production assistant (£22k) at Goldsmiths College -- the very people who gave me my education.
Incisive have reporting jobs at Morgatge Solutions and Post magazine.
Haymarket have a brand new big pile of jobs. The publishing house is looking for a chief subeditor for AutoCar, a subeditor for Independent Nurse, an editor for Young People Now, an editorial secretary for Children Now, a reporter for creative events mag RSVP and the company is looking for a variety of online reporting and editing roles.
BBC has a job for a broadcast journalist and an assistant producer for their Children's stuff.
It's Friday, so Gorkana have updated their jobs list. This week, music/lifestyle mag Notions need an editorial assistant, Bloomberg needs an aerospace reporter (cool!), Motor Transport are looking for an assistant editor and Emap's More needs a whole pile of editorial staff as do Computer Weekly. To see these jobs and ones from previous weeks, you need to go to their site and register. It's free and very very good.
Dawn: Did you go to the Pearl thing? How was it? And congrats to Ruth, who got a job as a desk editor via this site! And Matt emailed to say heads up about the Bang entertainment journalist job posted yesterday... apparently they posted the exact same job six months ago, too.
