      Journalism Jobs - October 17

      On HoldtheFrontPage, Splash News Agency is looking for features writers for celebrity and real-life stories.

      Gumtree has an advert from some dude who is putting together a travel book, and wants contributors (unpaid).

      On Journalism.co.uk, a live music industry publisher is looking for a news/features writer (24k).

      And Legal Week need a reporter.

      The Guardian site has an ad from Websters/MSN, looking for various editorial staff.

      Jobsite has a publication looking for a freelance subeditor with InDesign skills (100/day).

      Craigslist has an ad for music bloggers (unpaid) and Naked Punch are looking for interns. A website on teen issues needs contributors (25/article).

      And another Schmooze and Booze event has been announced. The next one is November 21 in Southwark.

      The folks at Press Gazette have put together a new jobsite called Jobs4Journalists, which has a pile of jobs for journalists. It also has details of the Press Cadets thingy and Patrick is doing really well. He's gotten thru the past few weeks, and it's now down to four people competing for two jobs, so his chances look good... He promises to keep us updated. Good luck Patrick!
