Journalism Jobs - August 31
Time Out is looking for a subeditor for its TV pages for four days a week. They're also still looking for freelance subs.
On the Guardian job site, British Film Institute is looking for a temporary online content editor for their film festival. Position runs for one month.
Gumtree has an ad from a "global magazine" looking for "well connected fashion and culture journalists". No mention if it pays.
Craigslist also has a couple. Some new website needs venue reviewers to write about bars, restaurants, ect for $2.50 a shot. Someone else is offering to pay you -- yes, you! -- $550 a month to write about software. Sounds too good to be true, and therefore dodgy. And some football-mad people need someone to write blogs and manage other bloggers. Pay sounds high, so therefore also dodgy.
The Careers Group has a job from The Other Media group for a recent grad to create/edit client copy (£16k).
Total Jobs and PFJ have combined their forces to offer a job for a reporter with 18 months' experience at a B2B (£22-25k).
On Jobsite, a national charity needs a publishing assistant (£22k) and a magazine publisher needs a subeditor (£21-22k). And a medical publisher needs someone with a biosci degree for an online editorial role.
