      Journalism Jobs - January 19

Welcome to Friday evening... And glad it is Friday evening, as I actually worked this week and am now tired. Not used to having a proper job...

On Gumtree, there's an advert for a German-speaking commodities journalist (£28-40k). And a part-time reader/editor is needed for an evening shift, 4:30pm to 9pm during the week (£7.50/hr).

Over on journalism.co.uk, if you're willing to make the hour and a half trek to Crawley everyday, pub newspaper the Morning Advertiser needs a reporter. The Mail needs freelance picture editors, the FT's Pensions Week needs a deputy editor, and Affinity magazines needs a health editor/writer on a freelance "flexi-term" contract.

Reed's Personnel Today has an opening for an online news editor and their Estates Gazette is looking for a finance editor. CMP's Music Week is on the lookout for a chief subeditor. Centaur's Public Private Finance needs a reporter. And the super shiny newscientist.com is looking for an online subeditor with a year of experience.

Capital Radio has advertised on the Careers Group for an online editorial assistant. And Jane's needs a content editor for their terrorism and insurgency section.

The wicked-awesome South London press has advertised on HoldtheFrontPage for a subeditor.

      Emap's Drapers needs a reporter.

Recruiter PFJ has advertised on londoncareers.net for a deputy features editor (£23-25k) with two years of experience for a new media publication, an editor (£30k+) for a financial publication, and a senior reporter (£24-26k) for a property B2B.

On Craigslist, a public interest website -- whatever that is -- needs a doctor or med student to write some stuff.

GorkanaPR have their new jobs up today -- I'll do a rundown of that and Helen Grant's latest ezine tomorrow, as the computer I'm on at the moment sucks and I need to leave before I throw a fit.
