If you have a biomedical degree, Nature is hiring editorial staff. The British Journal of General Practice is looking for a senior assistant editor (£25k).

Premier Christian Radio urgently needs two broadcast journalists and an assistant producer.

And here's a find: A site called Gorkana does weekly financial/consumer job updates (among other emailings). Some of the jobs listed are repeats of this site, some are non-London and some are definitely not entry-level, but its worth a look.

On the Guardian jobsite, recruiter Media Contacts is looking for an assistant internet editor (£25-30k).

Recruiters KP Publishing need freelance subeditors/production staff with at least 18 months' experience. And if you speak German, a business magazine publisher needs a reporter (£18k).

On Gumtree, a TV company -- sounds like they do advertising? -- needs a freelance researcher and a part-time proofreader/editor.

And some researcher needs participants for a discussion group on journalism courses -- they will pay you £50 for an hour of your time. Must be staff or freelance journalist.

TotalJobs has one from Media Contacts, who are looking for an editor with a science background for a B2B (£23-33k). PFJ need a reporter with six months' experience (£18-19k).

And from Press Gazette, a B2B needs freelance journalists; PFJ is recruiting a reporter; and a magazine aimed at university students is looking for a freelance features writer (£110/day).

Holdthefrontpage has a listing for a subeditor for Insurance Times. That site also has dozens of regional jobs, including lots of trainee ones. Worth a look if you're willing to leave London...

On Journalism.co.uk, the Irish World newspaper -- based in London, oddly -- is looking for a writer with "some" experience.

Haymarket's Brand Republic needs a senior reporter with at least two years' experience.

Prize is a year-long trainee job at Press Gazette worth 18k. Application requires your CV, covering letter, 300 words on why you want to be a journalist. Deadline is strictly today, but there's no time limit and it's emailable... so get cracking!

A Catholic church group needs a sub/staff writer (£28-30k). Recruiters PFJ have an advert up for a reporter with a year's experience for a B2B (£27k).

That recruiting firm is also looking for a staff writer with six months' experience for a financial publishers via TotalJobs.

The Careers Group has a part-time/freelance job up for an Arabic speaker to help develop magazines. The Economist Intelligence Unit has an internship for a business writer.

On Monster, something called Pokerzone TV -- SKY channel 843 -- is looking for a online writer/manager (£20-25k): "The role would suit a graduate who has an interest in poker with experience in writing or web journalism."

Gumtree has an advert for a picture editor for a two-week project involving sports, specifically horse racing. A healthcare publication is looking for a medical editor for five days a month.

And website ViewLondon are looking for a subeditor and freelance reviewers.

On Journalism.co.uk, Fastener & Fixing Europe -- whee! how exciting! -- has a job for an assistant to the editor, which involves writing, editing, production and actually sounds like quite a good job. That site also has a few up from Bloomberg News across Europe.

Craigslist has one from Suite 101 for health writers. Pay is based on number of hits your article receives.

On TotalJobs, a financial website needs an editorial assistant (£18-21k). A LexisNexis legal publication also needs an editorial assistant. And a monthly industrial magazine has an opening for an assistant editor.

Still on that site, recruiters PFJ are looking for a staff writer with six months' experience for a B2B and a news editor.

And Media Contacts are looking for a subeditor (£20-22k). They also need a junior staff writer for a financial publication (£20k).

Totaljobs has a posting for a features editor with two years' experience for a financial weekly (£23-26k). And some financial news thing needs a junior staff writer (£20k).

On Monster, the International Financing Review needs a trainee reporter.

Holdthefrontpage has a trainee reporter position at a newspaper in High Wycombe, which isn't really London, but closeish.

Journalism.co.uk has a posting from disability newspaper/site Scope, who need a reporter with a unique requirement: "This post is reserved for a disabled person with a recognised impairment, condition or long-term limiting illness."

And Jane's is looking for a researcher/editor for their security publications (£30K).

And RealGuides -- as in the media player -- need an assistant editor for their site.

Congratulations to Sarah, who recently got a job via this site -- making her the second I'm aware of. Her new place of work, IP Generation, is looking for stringers for their new internet/digital TV show about events in London. BBC magazines has an opening for an editorial assistant.

Ooh, this is a good one: The Docklands Newspaper is looking for a subeditor/reporter.

Craigslist has an odd-sounding one from All Headline News for an entry-level news writer.

A gap-year website needs travel writers (£25/story). There's also a very, very vauge advert for a magazine needing writers. The lack of detail is a bit sketchy.

The Hedge Fund Journal has advertised on The Careers Group for a news journalist -- for a first or second jobber, they say.

The magazine Interior is looking for an editorial assistant. And Canvas -- a new lifestyle magazine, because the world needs another -- is looking for writers and subs (unpaid).

The Royal Society of London is offering work experience at their journal.

On Holdthefrontpage, an agency is looking for staff/freelance photographers and videographers.

Gumtree has an advert from Henley Media Group for an editorial assistant (£18-20k). And SPG need a comissioning editor.

Recruiter PFJ has advertised on Press Gazette for a reporter on a property B2B (£22-27k).

On Jobsite, a book publisher needs a desk editor (£23k-25k). And PFJ has advertised a slightly confusing position that is either subediting, reporting or both, on a freelance basis.

Emap has a wicked-awesome one for someone with a year's experience writing/freelance/whatever ... New Woman magazine is looking for a subeditor/features writer.

If you've got a year's experience as a comissioning editor, Sugar and it's spinoff Sugar Lad Mag (that's such an awesome name) are looking for a features editor via the Guardian jobsite.

On Journalism.co.uk, financial publishers CityWire are looking for a subeditor.

B2B publishers Pira have again posted their slightly strange advert for recent graduates to write/research stories from home, with the possibility of full-time work in 2007.

And charity YouthNet needs an online editor for writing/ect work for four days a week.

JobSite has an advert from SPG for an online editor for B2B sites (£17-20k) -- sounds like it might be marketing focused...

The International Medical Press has job openings for an editorial/publications assistant with a life sciences background and a medical writer with a strong academic background.

Catholic weekly the Tablet has an opening for a "recently qualified journalist" to work as a staff writer.

In the Know, "for women who want more from a weekly", is hiring a big pile of staff. They need a consumer writer, a features writer with three years' experience, a lifestyles writer and an editorial assistant.

Recruiters Reilly have advertised for a layout subeditor for a business publication (£25-28k). And Inspired Selection are also looking for a subeditor for a healthcare publishing company.

A cancer charity has an opening for an editorial production assistant (19k). A medical publisher needs a subeditor.

Magazine Personal Computer World is looking for an online journalist (18-19k) -- ideal for a "junior writer", they say.

Dennis Publishing -- a rather huge magazine house -- has a few openings. The first is for a junior designer on Car News Weekly. They also need a senior designer -- two years' experience -- on Mens' Fitness. And, they are looking for an online editor for a car website.

Financial advice company Fleet Street Publishers are looking for a copy editor and a reports editor. And MoneyWeek needs financial writers -- junior positions are available.

And the Guardian itself is on the lookout for a sports subeditor.

Holdthefrontpage has a post from the Press Association for four picture desk assistants. They also have a billion and a half regional entry-level jobs on their site.

The Careers Group has a post for a freelance writer for a guide to classical music venues (£500 total). A new music magazine launch needs a trainee assistant editor (unpaid). A literary agency needs interns (unpaid). And if you can speak Mandarin, the BBC World Service is looking for relief translators/presentors (£12.45/hr).

JobSite has one for an editorial assistant (18k) in the deep southwest of London.

Another new magazine launch on Craigslist is looking for freelance writers on history, culture, food and travel -- pays, but at a "low rate".

On the Guardian job site today, a recruiter is looking for bilingual proofreaders with skills in Greek, Polish, Norwegian and Italian (£15/hour) for a month's work.

It must be languages day, as the Careers Group has a posting for a Pashtu/English speakers to help translate a Channel 4 documentary (£100/day). There's also postings for research assistants interested in China and the Middle East.

On Journalism.co.uk, there's a super cool job for an editor/journalist to work from home for a charity publisher (£21-23k).

Building Magazine needs a subeditor. And a B2B needs a senior reporter (£24-28K).

A few up on that site for Dubai and the rest of the world, if you're looking to travel.

On Gumtree, a legal publisher needs an assistant with media experience.

Some good posts on Craigslist today... A site needs travel writers, and they pay! A publisher is seeking stories from gay men -- and they also pay! And another site needs film reviewers -- but they'll only pay once they get cash. Typical.

And another set of websites is looking for writers with expertise in lifestyle, technology, finance and parenting -- they pay as well.

Journalism.co.uk has more today... The FT is looking for a subeditor. Credit Today needs a deputy editor. And an off-roading magazine based in Staffordshire has a very cool sounding all-rounder editorial position.

On Press Gazette, recruiters PFJ -- who have some lame people attempting to market them -- have a very cool sounding reporting position for a B2B (£22-30k).

JobSite.co.uk have a posting from SPG Media for an online editor (£17-20k) which sounds more content oriented than techie.

And a big exciting pile o' jobs from Haymarket today... GP magazine has a job for a subeditor and a medical reporter. Third Sector, a magazine about charities, is looking for a subeditor. Footie mag FourFourTwo need a staff writer. And reporters are needed at PrintWeek, PrintingWorld and (as previously posted on this site) Brand Republic.
