Journalism Jobs - December 7
BBC needs a content producer for a children's educational site.
On Journalism.co.uk, the super-cool NMA is looking for a reporter with some experience and a news editor. And ITN is looking for online broadcast journalists.
HoldtheFrontPage has an advert from the National News Press Agency, who are looking for a picture desk operator and photographers.
On Gumtree, a copywriting company is looking for freelance writers (£9/hour), especially students.
A few new jobs at Emap. Weekly newspaper Broadcast is looking for a deputy chief subeditor. WGSN needs a kidswear associate editor and a researcher. Media and Marketing Europe needs an editor.
On Press Gazette -- so nice to see them back! -- an email marketing agency needs a managing editor. I wouldn't exactly call that "journalism", but I'm just happy to be linking to PG again. This weeks edition is apparently going to reveal how journo jobs are being outsourced to India -- which makes absolutely no sense. How would that work? This sounds -- I hesitate to admit, having not read the story, and being happy about PG's revial -- pretty silly.
Okay, sorry. Back to the jobs.
Another new website is being launched, and it's hunting for freelancers on Craigslist -- but this time, they pay (£25/article).
NatMag's Zest needs a temporary chief subeditor -- tho I find it hard to believe that won't go to an insider. Incisive have a few subediting and reporting positions still up.
