      Journalism Jobs - December 5

If it's your dearest dream to become a financial journalist -- hey, I'm not one to pass judgement -- then head over to Journalism.co.uk today.

There, Platts is looking for two copy desk editors and Money Management magazine needs an editorial assistant. Financial newswire Bloomberg has advertised about four dozen jobs, in London and across Europe. I'm not going to list them all; just head over to that site and scroll away.

Travel website Transitions Abroad have two writing competitions, with a grand prize of money. One is for students, with a deadline of December 20. The other is for expats, with a deadline of December 31.

On JobSite, a financial printer needs proofreaders.

HoldtheFrontPage has an advert for a subeditor at Newsquest's Guardian newspapers, in north and east London. And the Ealing Gazette needs a senior reporter.

Dennis have again advertised on Gumtree for an online editorial assistant. If you're looking for a role as an editorial assistant, apply for this one. This is such a cool-sounding job and you'll get all trained-up in the ways of the internet -- which whether you like it or not, is stuff you're gonna need to know.

If you have a legal background, a lawyer needs a research assistant.

The BBC needs assistant producers for Children's Interactive and a production team assistant for Your Game.

      . . .

And excellent news: Press Gazette's back! Bought out by some group called Wilmington, though it makes you wonder what they were doing last week, eh?
