In the print edition, there's an advert for something called the Hugh Cudlipp Award for Journalism Students (worth 500), for current students or ones who graduted this year. Closing date is December 1, 2006; email cudlipp@lcc.arts.ac.uk for more details.

On Journalism.co.uk, Bloomberg has again posted a big list of editorial jobs -- and not all are business, either. I'm not gonna link them all, just go to that jobsite and scroll.

Gumtree has an advert from a new Islamic banking magazine, looking for freelance writers (£75-£200/article).

On Craigslist, a new online travel magazine is looking for writers (pay looks unlikely).
