      Journalism Jobs - November 1

On the Guardian, Recruit Media are looking for a web editor for three-month contract (£160/day).

Journalism.co.uk has an ad from Emap, who are still looking for a reporter for that engineering magazine. And Haymarket's Brand Republic are still looking for a reporter with two years' experience.

Interesting advert on Gumtree. An "award winning" editor with ten years' industry experience (who doesn't know when to use hyphens on compound modifiers?) is looking for freelance writers/subeditors -- sounds like it's unpaid.

Planet Retail -- no idea what that is -- needs a researcher/editor, via TotalJobs.

LondonCareers.net have a posting from PFJ for a subeditor (£24-26k) for an IT website.

Centaur are looking for a reporter for maternity cover at business site mad.co.uk, as well as an experienced reporter. And their magazine The Lawyer also needs a reporter.

MacMillian have an editorial assistant position, based in Basingstoke.

Newsquest have polished up their website, and have some new jobs up, too. They need a trainee reporter for Southwest London papers and a trainee subeditor (£16k) in South-south London/North Kent. They have a big pile of good-sounding regional jobs, too.

And there's also a big pile of new regional jobs on HoldTheFrontPage today... And the Daily Mail Group jobsite has also had an overhaul, thankfully. There's a couple of regional jobs up there, too.

Congratulations to Eklavya, who found a job via this site!
