      Job Roundup - June 26

It's a Monday, so there's a few up on Guardian Jobs...

There's a very cool sounding assistant production editor position at Nature Publishing. Must have a year's experience and Quark/Photoshop skills.

AFX, a European financial newswire, needs reporters and subeditors. French not necessary, but would be a bonus.

British Film Institute needs a production editor with at least two year's experience for their magazine, Sight and Sound (£24).

London School of Economics needs an indexer/editorial assistant (£19k). Global Insights needs editors. And something called iisearches.com needs a database researcher/reporter (£18k). Amaze TV needs an office assistant.

Recruit Media are looking for a web assistant (£17k-19k) and a project editor (£22k) with a year's experience.

A Japanese newspaper needs an assistant correspondent, The Register is still advertising for a reporter, Chambers and Partners need "creative" journalists, and Publishing Events are looking for an editorial assitant.

And the Guardian itself needs a web production assistant with a year's experience and the usual techie skills. And the Observer needs a media correspondent -- okay, not exactly an "early career" job, but something to dream about, right?

But in the meantime, do not miss applying for this one: The Guardian needs an editorial assistant for a one-year work placement. If you're looking to get into journalism, this is one hell of a start. Apply by July 13.

Surely there is something there you want to apply for. No? Okay, fine then. Try these:

On Journalism.co.uk, Reed Business publishers are looking for a news reporter for their Caterer publication, based in Surrey.

Holdthefrontpage has an interesting posting from Trident, a corporate communications company. They're looking for editors, journalists, subs and an editorial assistant for their magazines. Smells like an expansion, eh? (Look under "Reporting Jobs".)

On Craigs List, someone is looking for someone to write something on Urban Golf in London.

Emap needs a sub for New Woman magazine, with two year's related experience. IPC's ybm.com needs an online journalist. And NatMags needs a junior sub for Reveal.

That's it for today. Should keep you busy for a few minutes...
