      Job Update - May 19

On Guardian Jobs, Wandadoo is looking for freelance editors for long- and short-term contracts across the following channels: News, Sport, Cars, Music, Games, Film, TV, Celebrity, Travel, Diet and Money. Need some subbing, photoshop, and "tea making" skills.

Journalism.co.uk has a posting from Jane's Information Group -- which always makes me think of Firefly -- for a subeditor with at least one year's experience.

Press Gazette has a million and a half jobs, most of which are from recruiter PFJ, including a subeditor with three months experience.

Jobsite has a strange posting for a newsroom assistant for 8.50/hour. Expect to answer phones and make tea.

Macmillian Publishers are looking for assistant editors for their journals. "Ideally, candidates will have a graduate degree in a relevant scientific subject (cell biology, genetics or cancer)."
