      Job Roundup - May 30

John Brown Publishing is looking for a trainee publishing assistant. Must be someone looking to get into magazine publishing who is "meticulous". More meticulous than them, given the spelling mistakes in the advert...

On TNT's jobsite, there's a job posted for a temporary reporter for a B2B (£13-14 p/hr) and a temporary subeditor, at the same rate. They also have a temporary managing editor for a travel thing (£12-13 p/hr). Not sure what's up with the "temporary" and the hourly wage... but all three are via recruiter PFJ. Coincidence? I think not.

Holdthefrontpage.co.uk has a posting for a mining publication for a junior sub/designer. Closing date is June 2. There's also a position open at the Tablet, a Catholic international weekly, for a foreign news editor. They're looking for a graduate with at least two year's experience. And, there's a position for a senior reporter with 18 months' experience. (Links go to their main job page, so scroll to the relevant section for details.)

On Gumtree, there's a posting for writers and researchers for EMMA Online magazine.

IPC has an advert for a magazine assistant for Angler's Mail. It's not a writing job, but you will learn a lot... about fish.

If you've got some techie skills, the BBC is looking for online content researchers.

PFJ recruiters have a posting for an assistant editor with a year's experience (£22k to £23k) for a medical publication, among others.

Recruit Media has a listing for an online content coordinator (£120 per day) on a contract basis. Must have 2 years of web experience.

According to the Guardian, Reuters is in the process of hiring 100 journalists. While there aren't any new jobs posted on their site, it might be a good time to give them a call if you've ever dreamed of working on a wire service. Or check out their graduate section.

You might have noticed some new sources today. I've added a few in the company listings and job listing pages; you may need to refresh the page to see them. And as always, if you know a good one I've missed, please share...
