Journalism Jobs - July 13
Journalism.co.uk has a pair of adverts from Incisive's Investment Week, who are looking for a features editor and newly-qualified reporters, preferably ones who can type the publication's name properly. A health charity needs a senior writer/project assistant.
Travel B2B TTG needs a reporter, as does CMP's health mag Pulse. And Haymarket's PRWeek is still looking for a reporter -- though with adverts that enthuse "working for PRWeek isn't dull" I'm not surprised they're having trouble.
Mobile Magazine needs a news reporter. Absolute publishing's travel section needs a deputy editor (21k). A women's magazine is looking for a junior journalist (17k) -- good one for a recent graduate.
Over on Gorkana, university magazine Fresh Direction is looking for contributors for next year -- get ideas to them by next Friday. Incisive needs financial subeditors, Insurance Times needs a reporter, City AM needs a web subeditor and a senior subeditor, while the FT needs a senior staff writer. CMP's Building mag is looking for a reporter.
HoldtheFrontPage has an advert from Scope's Disabilty Now for an editor. Recruit Media are recruiting a reporter.
The Careers Group has one from Captial Radio for an online assistant to write and edit (16-20k).
On the Guardian, WorkStation are recruiting an online journalist. And a trade publisher needs an production assistant.
On Gumtree, book publishers John Wiley are looking for a publishing assistant -- good first job there. Mad Dog Ski guidebooks need a copywriter. A music (i think) website publisher is looking for a recent grad or a student to work part-time as a web editor (three days a week at £75 a day). A "publishing collective" called Raver's View is looking for staff, including writers. And if you've got a year of experience under your metaphorical belt, recruiters Folio need subeditors.
And just so you know, Press Gazette is reporting a hiring freeze at Reed Business.
