      Journalism Jobs - April 2

The Guardian has posted summer placement details for it's positive action scheme, ie, you must be a racial minority. The deadline says March 30, but that looks like a typo, so don't freak.

On the guardian job site, a breast cancer charity needs a web content assistant (£19.5k). HF's Sugar is looking for a production editor.

Energy Intelligence Group needs an oil markets reporter. Redwood needs translators, proofreaders and subeditors.

And the London School of Publishing has advertisted ten-week courses in proofreading and editorial -- I have no idea how much they cost.

On journalismjobs.com, Dow Jones is looking for a reporter.

On journalism.co.uk, there's a story about what editors would spend their money on (y'know, if they had any). The answer: training their journalists in new media skills. Might not be a bad thing to have on the CV then, eh?

Ashley over at Shiny Media emailed me to say they're looking for a deputy editor for shinyshiny.tv -- a gadget site for women -- and a deputy editor for HDTVUK.tv. Both start at £18k and are based in Covent Garden. Email ashley@shinymedia.com.

Slow day today (so far). That probably means lots tomorrow...
