      Internship

Alright, here's a good journalism work experience placement for you students:

IT PRO is looking for an intern. You’ll have news writing experience and know your way around a computer. An interest in or knowledge about technology and business is not necessary, but would clearly be a bonus, as would any other skills such as photography.

      Students/recent graduates are preferred.

You won’t get paid, but we will cover travel expenses within travel zones one to four (and take you to the pub now and then, too).

You will get experience working at a major publishing company, however, and we won’t just have you make the tea and answer phones, either. We’ll let you write and give you proper feedback on what you do write, so you’ll walk out of our shiny offices in Goodge Street with a few strong pieces for your portfolio.

IT PRO is an online technology and business magazine. It’s part of Dennis Publishing, which is also responsible for titles such as Maxim, The Week and Viz.

We’re looking for interns with a good sense of fun who can commit to a minimum of three days a week for at least three weeks. If you can commit to longer, or more days, that’d be great.

Initially, we’re looking for someone who can start Tuesday May 8 for three weeks or a month -- if you're interested in this slot, please apply by this Thursday, May 3 at 4pm.

To apply, please contact Nicole as soon as possible at nicole_kobie[at]dennis[dot]co[dot]uk with:

      • your CV
      • a news writing sample (just one, please)
      • a cover letter with your availability, a bit about yourself and contact details.

If you can’t make the May slot but would like to intern for us later this summer, drop us a line as above, including the dates you're available.

Sharp deadline, so get on it.
