Journalism Jobs - August 13
On Gumtree, a Chinese-English publication is hiring staff across the board and looking for interns -- you don't need to speak Mandarin, but it would surely help. The Sherlock Holmes Museum is still looking for someone to write the Baker Street Times.
The Careers Group has a job advert for a book publishing assistant (16k).
On the Guardian jobsite, Future are looking for a staff writer for gadget publication T3. Haymarket's Regeneration and Renewal is looking for a reporter. Sky need a chief subeditor for their online showbiz stuff, while NatMag's Runners' World needs a senior subeditor.
Over on Journalism.co.uk, Adfero are advertising some more positions, this time for entry-level correspondents/writers (16-17k). Planning service Foresight News needs a deputy editor (25k), while RedBee are, as usual, looking for listing writers. Emap's Construction news is looking for a reporter and Centaur's Fund Strategy is looking for a staff writer. Spafax is looking for a freelance subeditor for two days a week on in-flight mags.
Gorkana has a few up over the past couple days... Contract publishers Redwood need web editors, Closer needs a deputy news editor, and Yours needs freelance picture researchers. IPC cycling titles need a subeditor, and Haymarket have advertised a pile of reporting and subbing jobs on GP, PrintWeek and Campaign, but maybe go straight to the source for those...
On SourceThatJob, a charity needs an editor and healthcare publishers Campden need a layout subeditor.
If you've registered (for free!) for JournoBiz, they've an ad on their forums for a junior journalist for a women's weekly. And if you're on Facebook, Swapmyticket.co.uk are looking for reviewers (not sure if that's paid), an ethical women's mag needs writers and contributors (again, don't know about pay) as is a website called Zupha.com.
Rice N Peas has advertised on Craigslist for writers -- they pay £20 an article.
And this one's very shiny: Archant need an editorial assistant for their North London lifestyle magazines.
Time Out needs an online editor.
A few up on Emap -- some of these might be repeats, so be careful you don't apply twice... Screen International needs a features editor and a web editor as does new parenting launch Esprit. WGSN needs a trade shows assistant editor, and Drapers needs a fashion writer.
